Unexpected Reminders

Came across these two paintings while saving what I could from the basement flood…yes, there was a lot of frustration, running up and down steps while desperately trying to save everything, but I’m happy to say none of my art was ruined, and I was reminded of these two pieces that are still in need of finishing. While it may be a while before my basement studio is in working condition again, I already have plans to start with these once it is.

Big Milestone…sort of…

Just finished applying to a residency for the first time! I’m excited, it’ll be quite the opportunity, but also nervous because what if I don’t get it? Then I feel the sting of the few and the rejection…but oh well, I guess that’s part of trying to grow your art.

Changing Directions

A few months ago I left my job in pursuit of a tattoo apprenticeship, with the goal of becoming a tattoo artist. I’m still working on this, but have made new friends and gained some beautiful new art on my body.

In an attempt to find my place I visited Fort Meyers, FL at the end of September in search of an apprenticeship. Unfortunately, hurricane Ian made landfall forcing me to find my way back to Ohio earlier than expected.
